Background Checks

​Player Agent Issue Management Process - Link to Details

Game Day
Home Team is responsible for setting up the field (including raking and chalking) and for taking down field.
Visiting Team is responsible for clean-up when game over (pick up trash and empty trash cans).
Teams must work together to make sure that the sheds are locked when all games are finished.
Visiting Team must be ready to take in-field warm-up 20 minutes prior to the start of game.   
Home Team takes in-field warm-up 10 minutes prior to the start of the game.
Home Team Always sits on the 3rd base side.
Rescheduled games can bump scheduled practices for field use.
If no umpire shows up for a game, coaches can decide to recruit a parent to umpire OR to reschedule the game.
Home team is responsible for reporting game scores to scheduling@avgsl.org 

Field Permits
Please ensure you either have a link to these field permits on your smartphone or have a printed copy of them with you at all times when on the fields. If you are not able to produce the permits when asked, you will be told to pack up and leave the field immediately, which you will need to do.

Santa Clara University Broncos Softball - To help develop the skills of all players and coaches in Almaden, the league has arranged clinics to sharpen both player and coaches softball techniques before the season begins. The sessions range from an all-skill clinic available to all age groups being presented by the coaches and players from Santa Clara University, to a coaches' pitching clinic where coaches will learn to coach their team's pitchers, to clinics specially designed for players who want to learn how to be a pitcher or catcher. Mark the days and times on your calendars, and we'll see you soon on the field.

Cutting Edge Softball - Cutting Edge Softball is an independent company dedicated to being on top of the newest advancements in fast pitch softball. The are developing tomorrow’s players, “TODAY!” Cutting Edge Softball is providing innovative skills and instruction in (pitching, hitting and fielding). They are working to establish the Bay Area as a winning force in girls’ fast pitch softball. For softball skills lessons, call at (408) 231-1173.  AN AWESOME PLACE TO GET READY FOR THE SEASON!
