AVGSL Registration for 2019 is Now Open
Welcome to the Almaden Valley Girls Softball League (AVGSL) On-Line Registration System for the 2019 Recreational Softball Season.
Registration will remain open through 1/25/2019. Late registration MAY be open until mid March pending availability, a $20 per player late fee would apply.
Registration Fees:
- 6U (2012, 2013, and 2014 birth years) - $170
- 8U (2010, 2011 birth years) - $220
- 10U (2008, 2009 birth years) - $280
- 12U (2006, 2007 birth years) - $280
- 14U (2004, 2005 birth years) - $280
- Early Registration Incentive! $20 discount per Player for all divisions if registered by 12/31/2018!
- Additional $20 discount for each sibling registered

AVGSL is offering $50 credit for each new player you refer. Once they register with the league and you submit the referral information on the link below, you will receive the $50 credit and receive a chance to win a Pizza party at Legends Pizza for your daughter and friends.

Volunteer Service and Fees:
AVGSL is 100% volunteer run and all Almaden Valley Girls Softball League families are required to complete 3 hours of volunteer time per season, per registered child. This year there is a $75.00 volunteer buy out option. Volunteer duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Holding a position as a Board member
- Head coach
- Named assistant coach (max 2 per team)
- Team manager (1 per team)
- Prepping the field before games (minimum 3 times)
- Volunteering at the hit a thon/picture day
- Participating on field prep day
- Helping out at any other announced league activities that require assistance
For the 2019 season, snack shack duties will not be counted towards the mandatory 3 volunteer hours. Snack shack staffing will be assigned to the visiting team/s. Every team will staff the snack shack on their designated dates and coaches and/or team managers will be responsible for delegating these assignments. We will charge the $75 buy out in advance at registration, and refund the families as they complete their duties.
What do Registration Fees Pay for?
Registration Fees pay for field usage/maintenance, uniforms, umpires (10U and up), team equipment, and PAL/ASA dues. Registration Fees are payable only by Credit Card (MC, VISA or Discover) on-line. For any registration questions email Registrar@avgsl.org
Refund Policy:
100% refund for any player dropping out prior to Opening Day, NO refund after Opening Day.
Uniforms: Please note... the uniforms tend to run a bit on the small side, so please take this into consideration when entering your uniform sizes.

6U – Birth year 2012, 2013, 2014
8U – Birth year 2010, 2011
10U – Birth year 2008, 2009
12U – Birth year 2006, 2007
14U – Birth year 2004, 2005
Typical Division Schedules (subject to change):
06U – Practice and Games on Mon, Wed, Sat (2 days per week)
08U – Practice and Games on Tue, Thu, Sat (3 days per week)
10U – Practice and Games on Mon, Wed, Sat (3 days per week)
12U – Practice and Games on Tue, Thu, Sat (3 days per week)
14/16U – Practice and Games on Mon, Wed, Sat (3 days per week)
* Fridays are used in some age groups
Requests:
We try to accommodate all buddy/coach requests for the 6U division. We also try to accommodate buddy/coach requests for the 8U division, but also need to ensure parity of the teams, as team equality is a priority in the 8U division. Teams in the 10U division and up are determined by a draft.
Player Evaluation Day:
All Players in the 10U divisions and up are required to attend the Player Evaluation Day so teams of equal strength can be drafted.
