The Amateur Softball Association (ASA), a volunteer driven, not-for-profit organization based in Oklahoma City, OK, was founded in 1933 and has evolved into the strongest softball organization in the country. The ASA has many important responsibilities as the national governing body of softball in the United States, including regulating competition to insure fairness and equal opportunity to the millions of player who annually play the sport.

The San Jose Police Activities League, known simply as PAL, was founded in 1967 with a few youngsters, a few dollars and dreams of assisting the youth in our community. What once was a dream is now a reality. Some 10,000 young people are currently participating in PAL programs. PAL's formula for success is simple. It consists of dedicated police officers and dedicated civilian volunteers working together for one cause - the development of our youth.
